Purpose and scope

1.1 This Standard establishes preferred dimensions for flanged steelblower pipe to facilitate interchange of equipment made by differentmanufacturers.

1.2 Pipe flanges for both bolted and clamped connections are includedin this Standard. Configuration and construction of pipe, elbows,discharge deflectors and specialty pipe sections, other than inside pipedimensions and connecting flange dimensions, are left to the discretionof the individual manufacturer.
