This Standard is a result of the efforts of the CompactDisc Subcommittee of the EIA Audio Systems committee.This Standard shall apply to domestic reproducingequipment for Compact Discs (CDs) and defines the methodsof measurement and the form of disclosure of performancecharacteristics of consumer CD players.
